Antigone in America
Public staged reading of scenes from Sophocles’ “Antigone” centering on themes of isegoria (equality), omonoia (unity), dike (justice), and eleutheria (liberty). Followed by a guided discussion with a panel including: Desiree Sanchez, Executive Artistic Director of Aquila Theatre, Dr. John Meyer, Security Studies and Classics scholar, and Michael Castelblanco, United States Marine Corps Veteran and Warrior Chorus leader. Panelists will welcome public engagement and Q&A with the audience.
